General Product Questions:
> Isn't RVS Master™ just another oil additive?
No. Unlike oil additives on the market, RVS Master™ products create a nano-ceramic layer that becomes a permanent part of metal components inside your engine, transmission, differential etc. That's why it lasts for 40,000mi/60,000km and oil changes do not affect it - oil additives have to be re-applied at every oil change and their results start diminishing even before an oil change is made.
> How long does an RVS Master™ treatment last?
It varies depending on driving/usage conditions, but typically a treatment lasts 40,000 miles/60,000km in cars, 25,000mi/40,000km or 1,500 hours in motorcycles, ATV's, snowmobiles, farm equipment, machinery, etc. When used to treat firearms, the nano-ceramic surface protects the barrel for ~1000 rounds fired.
> Do I need to re-apply RVS Master™ at every oil change?
No. As mentioned above, our products react directly with the metal components, forming a ceramic layer that is durable and that becomes part of the metal components. Oil changes do not affect the RVS Master™ treatment.
> Can RVS Master™ be used in vehicles with synthetic oil?
Yes. RVS Master™ is fully compatible with all types of oils.
> Can your products clog my oil filter/passages inside my engine or transmission?
No. The sizes of the active particles inside our products are much smaller than the smallest passages inside your oil filter and cannot clog it, nor can it build up inside it.
> I have a...(your vehicle's make, model, year), what is the right product for me?
Our products are categorized by the oil capacity of the device you are treating. If your engine holds 4qts/liters of oil, you need a Ga4 treatment. If it holds 5, you need the next highest number - Ga6. A transmission with 6qts/Liters of ATF needs a Tr8, and so on. If you are unsure of the fluid capacities of your particular vehicle, they can usually be found in your owner's manual - or you can simply contact us and we will find that out for you!
Common car problems that RVS Master™ addresses:
> What are cold starts and will your products help reduce/eliminate them?
Cold start is a phenomenon observed when an engine is started in cold weather - during the first few seconds, the oil is thick and oil pressure is low, and the engine is starved of oil - that causes parts inside to wear out due to the friction. The ceramic layer created by RVS Master™ protects the components inside an engine from this oil starvation because even without oil, the ceramic layer is very slippery, thus minimizing the damage caused by cold starts.
> Does RVS Master™ reduce the operating temp. of my engine?
Yes. Due to the lowered internal friction, the engine runs cooler after a RVS Master™ treatment. This can be beneficial in warm climates where vehicles are subjected to extreme heat.
> In the event of a sudden drop in oil pressure or total oil loss, will RVS save my engine?
Yes. Our test have shown that engines treated with RVS Master™ can survive total oil starvation for several minutes, buying you enough time to notice the problem and turn the engine off without it seizing.
> My engine is blowing white smoke out of the exhaust. What is that and can RVS Master™ fix it?
White smoke usually means that the engine has a blown head gasket. Unfortunately, that is not something that RVS Master™ can fix since the head gasket is not a part under friction - a necessary ingredient for RVS Master™ to work. The only solution is to have the head gasket replaced.
> My engine is blowing blue smoke out of the exhaust. What is that and can RVS Master™ fix it?
Blue smoke usually means that oil is entering the combustion chambers of your engine and is being burned. This can be caused by two main problems - piston rings/cylinder walls may be worn and oil is passing through (also called "blow-by"), or the valve seals/sleeves are damaged. In the first case, RVS Master™ can definitely help, since it builds up on top of the cylinder walls and seals up the cylinders, stopping oil burn and improving power/performance. The only other solution is a total engine rebuild or replacement, and RVS Master™ saves you thousands of dollars. In the second case, RVS Master™ will not help since the valve seals are made of rubber and need to be replaced.
> My engine feels tired and has low compression. I was quoted $1800 for a rebuild. Can RVS Master™ help?
Yes. RVS Master™ can definitely help - the low compression and lack of power are usually caused by worn out cylinder walls - the ceramic layer created by RVS Master™ seals the gaps and restores compression/power, potentially saving you thousands.
> My engine has "lifter-tick" - noisy valves. Can RVS Master™ fix that?
Yes. If your valves are adjusted properly and your engine still exhibits lifter-tick, you will notice quieter and smoother operation after a treatment with our products.
> My engine is making a knocking sound that's coming from the bottom. Can RVS Master™ help?
It depends. Knocking from the bottom of the engine is called "rod-knock" and usually indicates a worn or spun crankshaft bearing. Usually this is fixed by a complete rebuild or engine replacement. RVS Master™ can help if the problem is caught in the early stages when the knocking is very faint, indicating that not much physical damage has occurred yet. If the knocking is very loud and pronounced, RVS Master™ won't help because by that time the physical damage is too great, and a rebuild/replacement would be necessary.
> I can't pass emissions. Will RVS Master™ enable me to pass?
It depends. RVS Master™ significantly reduces emissions (click here to see actual results) and if your check engine light is off, it will enable you to pass emissions in almost all cases. However, if your vehicle's check engine light is on, then there is a physical problem with your O2 sensors, catalytic converter, or some other component of the EGR system. This is a problem that can only be overcome by replacing the failed component. RVS Master™ will still significantly reduce the emissions, but the emissions testing facility will not allow you to pass if the light is on regardless.
> I'm getting horrible gas mileage. Can RVS Master™ improve it?
Yes. Bad gas mileage can be caused by numerous factors, but regardless of the cause, you will definitely notice an improvement after a full RVS Master™ treatment. The reduced internal friction allows your engine to run more efficiently, and typically results yield a 5-12% improvement in gas mileage, in some cases even more.
> My automatic transmission is slipping. Can your products save it?
No. Usually a transmission slips because the clutches inside of it are worn out. These clutches literally have paper surfaces, and therefore our products cannot restore them (RVS Master™ only works on metal parts). The only solution is to rebuild/replace the transmission. Sometimes the problem is caused by bad shifter solenoids, which is an electrical problem, and this case they need to be repaired/replaced accordingly.
> If RVS Master™ doesn't fix slippage in an auto transmission, then how does it help?
There are many metal gears, bearings as well as an oil pump inside automatic transmissions that benefit from the effects of an RVS Master™ treatment. Friction between these gears is reduced, allowing your transmission to operate smoother and quieter. Internal heat which cooks the oil and is the number one cause for transmission failure is reduced, extending the life of the oil and subsequently the transmission itself.
> My manual transmission is a bit noisy. Can RVS Master™ help?
Yes. Our products will coat and protect all gears and bearings inside from wear by reducing internal heat and friction. You will notice your gearbox will be quieter and smoother after an RVS Master™ treatment. The effects are especially obvious when RVS Master™ is applied to motorcycles.
> My differential makes a humming noise. Can RVS Master™ fix that?
Yes. Differentials are usually simple devices that have several gears inside. The humming is caused due to slight unevenness in the surfaces of these gears. An RVS Master™ treatment will "repair" these surfaces to a certain extent, while also reducing friction and heat. The result is quieter and smoother operation.
